Summery-themed Brisabar outdoor bar and restaurant opens in Campus Martius Park
There’s a new tropical beach-themed spot for lunch, dinner, drinks and happy hour open in Campus Martius Park.
Brisabar is an outdoor bar and restaurant where patrons can relax, enjoy a cocktail and dine al fresco.
Its bar is more than 30 feet long with covered seating on three sides. There are also tables and lounge chairs at the makeshift beach at Campus Martius.
Brisabar is operated by the Iconic Collection, which also runs the nearby PARC restaurant and iconic Anchor Bar on Fort Street.
“Our team has created a sumptuous escape right in the center of the city and people have responded. Brisabar has quickly become the place in Detroit to see and be seen this summer,” said Zaid Elia, founder of the Iconic Collection.
Brisabar’s menu is on the summery side. There’s kale and arugula Caesar salad, a chopped salad, and an avocado and cucumber salad. Brisabar’s Shared Bites ($13-$16) menu features honey chile chicken wings, sweet and spicy tempura-style calamari with chili hoisin, scallion and sesame, truffle fries, chips, salsa and guacamole. Its main menu ($16-$23) features Maine-style mini lobster rolls, the Brisa burger, Key West shrimp tacos and a grilled chicken wrap.
On the drink menu, there are eight specialty cocktails, including Havana Hurricane, Kiss by the Beach and Motown Mojito Brisabar specialty cocktail menu. All are $12 each. There are also slushy-style drinks, a selection of champagnes, beer, and seltzers.
Happy Hour at Brisabar is 3-6 p.m. Monday through Friday. The food menu includes Brisabar Bites, many of the items from its regular food menu at $12 each. There are also some of the specialty drinks at $8 each.
BrisaBar, 800 Woodward Ave., is open for lunch Wednesday through Sunday. Regular hours are 3-10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday.
