I stomped around Sodalis Nature Park yesterday morning. I saw a lot of Cardinals and Blue Jays and got a few shots of the trails and the ice on the pond. The big moment though came at the far end of the park. I was bundled up sufficiently for the -3ᵒF (-19ᵒC) air temperature; I had the camera inside my coat and wore heavy gloves. As I turned the corner on the trail I stood about twenty yards from a red fox. As soon as the fox saw me it sprinted into the brush along the trail. I did not even have a chance to budge much less get the camera out for a shot – and what a shot that would have been – a red fox in the snow! I followed along the trail where it entered the brush but I never saw it again. Maybe next time!
