Sometimes we take peanuts for the squirrels when we walk. Last Saturday this squirrel approached us but was very cautious as we offered him a snack. What I did not notice until later is the second squirrel hiding behind the leaves; the second squirrel’s tail hangs down toward the bottom of the image. In any case, neither ever came forward to pick up the peanut – at least, not while we where there.
for sure they ate it after you were gone.. 🙂
