For Thursday’s entry to the Daily Post challenge we go back to the Zoo. Charlotte and I were just about to leave the Hilbert Conservatory when one of the keepers called me over telling me to bring my camera. There were several butterflies in a large plastic case in various phases of leaving their cocoons. He had taken several butterflies freshly out of their cocoons and placed them on a grass-covered post. He thought I would like to take a few moments to get these butterflies while they waited for their wings to dry out and harden up. He was correct in his assumption! (A few of these shots are a bit fuzzy but I had to hurry because the sprinklers were about to spray some mist – I do not have a water-tight camera.)
