Twelve-Spotted Skimmer Dragonfly

This image shows a Twelve-Spotted Skimmer dragonfly captured on Trail #4 near the Lusk Home in Turkey Run State Park. This was an unusual catch for me finding a dragonfly with intact wings. Most of the dragonflies in my images have tattered wings even sometimes missing whole sections of the wings.

    1. I don’t see them much and usually around the ponds. This one was along a creek at a state park. We have a lot of the green ones just about everywhere too although the numbers seem to be down this year – don’t really know why…
