‘Delta’ is the theme for the Weekly Photo Challenge as a change or transition from another time. The Vandalia Trail is a bicycle and pedestrian pathway through the Hendricks County. It lays on a railroad bed abandoned many, many years ago. There are a few relics of the railway remaining in hidden spots along the trail. This utility pole still has a few of the insulators that used to isolate the electrical wires. The pole is now surrounded by trees and brush. It is virtually impossible to see during the Summer months underneath the canopy of leaves. The gallery below shows a few more items left behind from the railroad days gone by.
