After four months of nothing but gray tree trunks and limbs it appears that the crab apple tree has survived our combo-Winter/Summer/Spring randomized season. These buds cover the tree from top to bottom and they all have this same rich red coloring. The pods have the familiar fibrous exterior. The leaves are mostly green with some red highlights too. This tree should provide us with a very colorful Spring display in just a few days!
