Hidden Places

This capture shows a small pond in a swampy area near our home. There is a blue heron who hides away in the dark areas to the left of the image. On the other side of the pond in the middle of this image is a small opening in the trees through to the creek on the other side. The heron has flown from the shadows into the gap quite a few times after I spotted him. Sometime this Spring I need to walk down the creek across from the gap in the trees to see if I can get a good look at him. These birds are so elusive. But I intend to get a capture of him one way or another. He will undoubtedly have other plans.

This is an attempt to catch the heron after just noticing him on the move.
