Goldenrod Soldier Beetle in the Bull Thistle

As I was leaving Sodalis Nature Park during my last visit, I came across the beetle climbing around in a bull thistle. At first glance and seeing the yellow and black striped abdomen, I thought this might be a wasp of some sort. But when he straightened around, I saw the distinctive beetle shell. This creature is the goldenrod soldier beetle and also known as the Pennsylvania leatherwing.
