Friday

We had a great Thanksgiving Day yesterday. Charlotte’s brother Roger and his wife Marcia hosted this year’s dinner. The crowd was larger than anyone had expected and the food was plentiful and delicious. Even though the discussion topic eventually meandered onto politics we did end the evening with no felony assault arrests. It is so good that such a diverse group of people can still enjoy each other’s company!

It was nice to get an up-to-date group picture of the girls – they are seldom all together at any given moment in the space-time continuum. I also got to cook most of my usual Thanksgiving fare – turkey with corn bread and veggie stuffing, sour cream and cheddar smashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and New York-style cheesecake. Not trying to gloat by any means but people actually scraped the plate to get the last bits of cheesecake after the cut slices were gone!
