Coatesville

We started our walk on the Vandalia Trail at Amo, Indiana, and after a 3-mile hike strode into Coatesville. This gallery shows a few shots of the town of Coatesville. It is a stereotypical small mid-western town with the town hall and the small grocery store. There are not many of those little grocery stores left with the chains having run most out of business. The town originated in the late 1860s and became incorporated in 1909. A tornado destroyed most of the town in 1948 but now the town is more populous than ever before with almost 600 residents.
