Travel Theme Challenge: Peaks

We got to see the Great Wall of China three times through our adoption trips. Twice at Juyongguan and, for these captures, once at Badaling. The Badaling site has more wall that one can walk upon and it has some unrestored sections too. Here the Great Wall runs up and down the mountains northeast of Beijing. The white blossoms you see on some of the trees are cherry blossoms.

These images are scans from photos taken with a Pentax ZXM 35mm camera. On this trip I used ISO 400 film and a 35-105mm telephoto zoom.

    1. The Badaling is a very good section to see the Great Wall. The tours usually go to the Juyongguan section which is several miles closer to Beijing along the same highway. There is much more plant life at Badaling.
