Route 66 – Devil’s Elbow Bridge

This bridge on the 1926 section of Route 66 spans the Big Piney River. It is near the town of Devil’s Elbow, Missouri, and the sharp turn in the river also called Devil’s Elbow. The bridge is a short distance north-east of the railroad bridge we looked at earlier. We did not get down to the river so we do not have any side shots of the bridge. However, we did get some images of the rocky outcrops that wall-in the river.
