Lions Everywhere

Sometimes I dabble with architecture photography. I usually like the more historic structures. Off on a tangent, though, I have noticed a lot of lion’s heads (and sometimes bodies) embedded as a decorative highlight. Many of the ones I have seen are on buildings from the early 20th century. On the sides of the buildings one might not notice them. Perhaps they just serve as a reminder for someone who has fallen out a window the proper facial expression as they plummet downward. Or maybe not.
