Hideout

“People never lie so much as after a hunt, during a war, or before an election.”
― Otto von Bismarck

Laci spotted this deer hiding in the brush as we walked along the abandoned Six Points Road section just north of I-70. She, Avery and I visited this short section of road out of curiosity. The doe surprised me by not bolting when I stuck my head into the gap in the brush to snap pictures. Perhaps we did not look like predators. Or maybe she had just found a ‘safe place’ from all the election news.
