Hawk Sighting Close to Home

I walked out of our garage and saw this hawk in a tree behind one of our neighbor’s houses. Grabbing the camera, I walked toward him taking shots. I probably was 50 yards away at the closest. Another neighbor walking her dog came toward us; I hoped that would spook the hawk so I could capture him in flight – no such luck! He just sat there looking around ignoring me!

  1. Some wonderful photographs of a marvellous bird who doesn’t seem in the least bit worried by your presence. Birds of prey are extra faithful to their routine, so you might well see him again soon!
