Our adoption trips to China were typically rushed – hurrying up to stand in a line or to sign paperwork. However, there were a few days where we got to relax and enjoy some of the unique sights of China. One in particular always sticks in my mind – the Lord Bao Temple in Hefei, Anhui Province. We were there in December 2006 on Laci’s adoption trip – our last visit to China. The day was overcast and cold; a fog hung over the town all morning. We visited this temple and got a short tour of its history. Then we walked around the gardens. I captured both of these scenes that day. I have used these scenes for backgrounds on my computer because they convey such a sense of peace and tranquility.
