Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Burgundy or Maroon – On Mackinac Island

Mackinac Island, in Lake Huron near St. Ignace, Michigan, is a regal place to visit. One can see burgundies and maroons both from nature and man-made constructs. We visited there this past June and enjoyed the late Spring colors.

    1. Thank you. Yes, that is the lighthouse at the harbor entrance on the island. This one and the one at St. Ignace light up year round. In the winter, they help guide the snowmobile drivers on the 5-mile trip between the island and the mainland over the ice.
