“A fallen blossom
returning to the bough, I thought —
But no, a butterfly.”

I have watched these small white butterflies with the tiny black spots flitting around all Spring and Summer. They never seem to sit very long. I leaned on the fence behind the shed and waited. Finally, this butterfly spent some time in the phlox allowing me to get the several captures that you see here. I believe this is an Azure Butterfly, and the species is plentiful around this area.
