“Pleasure is found first in anticipation, later in memory.”

These two flowers seemed not to want to open up for us this Spring. They held on and on making us anticipate that moment of flowering. Sometimes the anticipation results in reward.
We entered this past Saturday with great anticipation. Our daughter, Erin, graduated from high school and we hosted a graduation open house later the same day. The party went very well; several from Erin’s past visited unexpectedly making the day more enjoyable. Later we got more news that made it a most outstanding day!
We too often get bogged down in the day-to-day grind and do not appreciate what we have. On this Saturday we had a boat-load of reminders that the good times and the good memories are there too. It was nice to be reminded in the manner of this past Saturday.
